Smart home comfort refers to technologies that enhance convenience, well-being, and relaxation by automating or remotely controlling environmental factors like lighting, temperature, and security.
Smart home comfort means adding a capabilities to your building converting it to a home with a new level of comfort, convenience and energy performance.
No need to go around your home, opening or closing blinds. Automating them, adds the possibility for various actions.
- Open the blinds to wake up with natural light and shut after the sunset
- warm your rooms up using the sunlight in winter and keep it cooler shutting the blind when the sun enters in summer, regardless if you are there or not.
- Not just the blinds. Any awning/tent, sun shade, shutter or even garage door can be controlled automatically or remotely.
The smart home comfort system, like everything else in our designs is not a stand alone feature. It uses other devices, sensors and actuators as well as application specific devices like temperature and humidity sensors, doorbells and smart lights to be complete. In other words you can incorporate the smart home comfort system to an existing installation as an additional capability.
Application
The Smart Home comfort capabilities are as large as your imagination. Some examples to prove this
- Turn on/off remotely any electrical appliance in your home.
- The garden can be automatically irrigated if the earth moisture is below a certain level
- Waking up at night to go to another room, low lighting can be activated
- You get notified if your old parents living alone, have not opened the drawer for their medicines.
- Whether monitoring sensors can automate actions like closing the tents if the wind is too high, or open them when the sun gets too bright
- To have an optical/acoustical alarm when your main door opens or when someone enters the staircase
- Home health Monitoring: Monitor air quality, temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors to create a healthier living space. Devices temperature and humidity sensors provide insights that can be used to automate actions temperature and humidity control in order to optimize comfort and wellness.
- Your door bell plays a sound when someone presses the button and turns on the entrance light. A different sound can be played for a different event, like flooding, or when your garden needs watering.
All above scenarios are implemented by adding specific sensors at pre-determined points and actuators to turn on/off specific devices. No extra cabling or infrastructure work is required
